Oksana Parkhomenko against Fenerbahce Acibadem

Dinamo MOSCOW destroys FenerbahceAcibadem ISTANBUL in most anticipated match of the third round. Parkhomenko is the BEST!

Pool B – Dinamo MOSCOW (RUS) vs. FenerbahceAcibadem ISTANBUL 3:0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-17)
Dinamo MOSCOW totally outclassed tonight FenerbahceAcibadem ISTANBUL of Turkey with a splendid performance for the delight of the local Volleyball fans. The final outcome of this game is somehow astonishing as this was expected to be an extremely tough battle.
Russian star Liubov Sokolova – who is playing this season in Turkey – was back to Moscow and that caused some additional “fever” across the Muscovite audience. Some 2’000 fans were to be seen tonight at the “Druzhba” sports hall to admire some of the very best players in the world. Dinamo played calmly and smoothly, distributing very well the attacks among Costagrande, Goncharova, Gioli and captain Makhno. Dinamo’s mentor Aleksander Perepelkin said after the game: “I don’t remember such a good match and such a splendid defence”. Liubov Sokolova commented: “It is a pity to lose with such a score, but I think that we are not ready to show our best. Our target is to advance to the final this year, so we have to train a lot and create the right and necessary team work”. Oksana Parhomenko, who was the best player for Dinamo tonight, was very happy with the result and said: “We already won three games, but the last one was very difficult. We are ready for more”.
